Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the ArtList mobile application and website operated by ArtList ("us", "we", or "our").

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or accessing ArtList, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access or use the service.

2. Description of Service

ArtList provides an AI-powered visual recognition and personal museum audio guide service. Users can scan artwork, sculptures, and architectural façades to receive verified provenance information, listen to generated audio guides, and organize discoveries into a personal collection and spatial map atlas.

3. User Accounts

When creating an account, you must provide accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Billing: Premium subscriptions (weekly, annual, or lifetime options) are billed through your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Renewals: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period in your App Store Account Settings.
  • Refunds: All refund requests are handled directly by Apple in accordance with Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

5. Intellectual Property & Content

The ArtList app, original code, branding, audio narration formats, and visual interfaces are owned by ArtList. Artwork descriptions and public domain references remain the property of their respective creators or public domain repositories.

6. AI Information Disclaimer

While ArtList uses strict multi-stage verification guardrails to ensure accuracy and prevent false assertions, audio guides and information are provided for educational and personal entertainment purposes. ArtList makes no guarantees of absolute historical completeness for unverified custom submissions.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or misuse the ArtList services, automated APIs, or visual recognition pipeline.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ArtList shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Notice of significant changes will be provided within the app or on our website.
